Ugh! (not quite a rant but annoyed)

I sent FMIL a list of FI's family who is invited today so she could tell us how they are related.  Unless they have the family name, FI has no clue who they are (and I could figure out the people with the family name).  FMIL comes back with two people who aren't on the list we have to add!  We agreed to aunt and uncles and some first cousins that FI acutally knows (this sounds limited but it's 50 people of our 159...nearly 1/3 just his family) and it is FMIL youngest brother.  So he should be on the list but I just thought I had a grasp of our numbers.  So not mad at her because he should be included just wish he would have been mentioned the 20 times we went over the guest list over the past 14 months!

Oh, I hear you on that.  FMIL noticed not when I confirmed addresses for the STDs, not when I first sent the list of invites, but when I sent her the shower list that her MOTHER and FATHER weren't on it!  That's right, FI's grandparents weren't on the invite list!  I thought his uncle (who shares the same name as his grandfather) was his grandpa, and FI doesn't have a clue what his grandparents' first names are.  Sometimes I wonder how he could possibly be this clueless.  Needless to say, we added Grandma & Grandpa, and it isn't like you can say, "Okay, now cut two other people" because they needed to be added.  Ah well, it all works out!
