  • My to do list is broken down into number of months before the wedding instead of by calendar month, so...

    May 22 to June 21:
    -Finalize catering
    -Help coordinate rehearsal dinner
    -Book rentals
-Schedule interviews & tastings with bakers
-Buy ink pads, wet wipes, and two baskets for guest book tree table

    June 22 to July 21:
-Meet with my celebrant to confirm the ceremony
    -Buy linens
    -Choose napkin presentation
    -Order wedding cake
    -Order groom's cake
    -Rehearsal outfit
    -Shower outfit
    -Chris' rehearsal outfit
-Check registries to make sure enough gifts remain at every price point every few days
    -Dye crinoline
-Make appointment for first dress fitting
    -Buy gifts for shower hostesses
-Finish addressing wedding invites (there are two people moving and one whose address I don't have, so I need to do these envelopes)
    -Finish making wedding invitations
-Take invitations to post office to weigh for postage
-Choose and buy postage for invites and RSVP cards
-Schedule the actual rehearsal (not the dinner part, the part where you rehearse haha)

And lots of DIY, which I don't really add to my list and just get done.

Oy vey the next two months will be BUSY.

Didn't think I had so much to do.  Dangit!
  • Okay, probably should put this down...

    • Get my Fiance back on dry land (for those of you following, he's STILL not back!)
    • Make sure all my addresses are up to date (5+ people have moved since Save the Dates!!)
    • Address Invites

    • Hair/Makeup Trial- Supposed to be 06/27 w/ engagement photos
    • Final payment to florist/designer
    • Food tasting- 06/12 which FI sadly probably won't be back for....
    • Finish sewing my veil
    • Make appointment for first dress fitting Thinking of bringing a good friend with me for emotional support/ just to make sure I don't look stupid in this dress 'cause she's totally honest without being overly critical-
    • Just take really good care of myself- ie not biting my nails, making sure I'm taking good care of my skin, eating really healthy foods, sleeping enough, exercising every day- I hope you don't mind volleygurl, but I'm totally going to steal your plan to do masks and use cuticle remover, etc- that sounds like a plan.
Now we've got most of our big things paid for, so that has been really good/taken a TON of the pressure and stress off.

  • Random tip for everyone who has mentioned making schedules for photogs/wedding party/etc-

You can make it as a google doc now, have it all set and then add permission for people to access it-  You can even make it so they can see it but not edit it, other people (like my photog) can both see and edit it.

Best part- it updates instantly so any last minute changes will def be reflected and you don't have to email out 42 drafts.

I am so ready for September 1st to get here, but not for all the things I have coming up!

    1) Contact officiant today and arrange meeting/start marriage counseling (we already have been going through a 'regular' therapist just not with our officiant.
Check! My old pastor agreed to perform the cermony and we have marriage counseling in August!

    2) Figure out the center pieces. My bridesmaid is helping me with this, but I just can't decide.
Check! I think I found one I really like. It's simple and my BMs can help put them together. I'm sure they'll like that, right? lol

    3) Get the invitations out, although I think I may wait until the first week of July.

    4)Get DJ the music selection

    5) Reserve apartment in my apartment place for guest (pretty nice deal. A one bedroom apartment for $70 a night. Full kitchen, living room, patio,...)
Check. But now I think my fiances family is going to stay there, which means we will have to pay for it...so no exclamation point for this check.

    6) Make my guest book, which means I have to purchase my engagement photos from the photographer.

    7) Get wedding jewelery for both myself and my bridesmaids

    8) Purchase my shoes before my 1st dress fitting which is scheduled for July 5

    9) Make list of what FI will be doing since he is on summer break!!!
