Lifting the veil

If any of you are wearing a blusher veil on your wedding day are you going to have your father lift the veil at the altar or have your husband-to-be lift it after the ceremony for your first married kiss? Just wondered. Trying to decide what to do...

oh my I didn't even think about this... my initial reaction is to have my Dad do it since we're having a Catholic mass I'd have the veil in my face for awhile before the kiss.

I'm going to have my dad do it. I don't think I would like having the blusher in my face for that long if I were wait until the kiss and I wouldn't want all of the pics leading up to the kiss with my face covered! ;

Hmm I just sorta figured I would just leave it back the whole time... I havent seen anyone actually wear theirs in their face in a long time, but I am going off of wedding shows and such. I guess i will decide after I see my cousin's wedding and my FSIL's wedding to see what they do.

I'm debating on whether or not I'm just going to leave it back the whole time or my dad will do it. I also have a chapel length veil but it seems really formal for my outdoor/barn wedding. Idk... I'll have to play around with it and see what I like...

I plan on wearing mine back the whole time. I asked my FI this question last night. I said if I'm wearing a veil (just to keep him guessing on what all I'm wearing) would he like to first see me with it in my face or back. He voted back. My mom wanted it covering my face but I said I didn't want it messing up my hair. Hopefully she will still be okay with the decision in a couple months still.

I'm not using a blusher, I just have a fingertip length veil. I didn't want the blusher covering my face as I went up the aisle, I didn't think the pictures would be as pretty, lol! Plus, I don't want anything interfering with looking at FI as I walk towards him

First, hi date twin & second, ur little girl is so cute. I have a 2 yr old as well and she will be turning 3 in Dec. too (guess we have some things in common lol).

Anyway, I'm having my FI lift my blusher after my dad presents me at the altar.I didn't want it in my face for the whole ceremony.
