What time to schedule Rehearsal dinner??

Alright, ladies. We've picked out our rehearsal dinner location. It's going to be at a pizzeria near the hotel called Gino's East. We're just serving pizza, salad and soft drinks, and a grooms cake. No liquor. What time should we do the rehearsal dinner? The rehearsal is at 7 pm. I don't want people to have to take off of work that day, though, so I'm leaning towards 8 pm. What do you think? Please help! TIA

Re: What time to schedule Rehearsal dinner??

  • We are doing or rehearsal at 6, I figured most people get off at 5 and they can go straight there if they have to.  That way it is not extremly late for the dinner, because we have kids that will be there and they have school the next day.

  • I like 8 because that gives you time to do the rehearsal and no one has to take off early from work..

i would definitely do after. then it can last a little longer and you guys won't feel rushed to finish up and get to the rehearsal. our rehearsal is at 6, but we couldn't even make a reservation until 8, so that's what we're doing.

ps, we totally looked into gino's east after all the lou's around here were booked.

We are actually doing ours at 6:30pm since all OOT will be here and there is only a total of 7 people that have to reherse and my BM will be assisting with this the day of the wedding. So we are going to do a quick run thru at the dinner and go from there. Doing a seafood buffet type meal at ours as a way to just relax and enjoy each other cause the day of is going to be crazy.

<div>Awesome! We decided on Gino's instead of Portillos because it's closer to the rehearsal location. Plus, who doesn't like pizza?! lol</div><div>
</div><div>Unfortunately we can't do the Rehearsal at 6 pm. Someone else already booked that time slot for their rehearsal. Or else that would have been perfect! </div>
  • This is something I've been debating, but leaning towards 8

I would do after.  If that is too late for anyone then can come to dinner for a little and go or skip dinner.  But, even with something as simple as pizza, RD can run on for a while and you don't want to rush people eating to get to the rehearsal.
