Help me choose a second centerpiece!

I am having a hard time deciding on a second set of centerpieces. For 12 of the tables I am using three varying height candle holders (tallest one being like 10") with flowers submerged, clear glass rocks in the bottom, and white floating candles.  They will sit on a 12x12 square mirror with 3 mercury glass votive holders. There will be a brown table cloth and teal pin tuck runner on each table.  For the other 8-10 tables I wanted to do something with some height, maybe with some branches but I don't know if that would look weird with the other tables having short centerpieces.  Any suggestions? I don't want to do fresh flowers because they are not really in the budget. TIA!

Re: Help me choose a second centerpiece!

  • Would river rocks work instead of clear rocks?  I think that can help tie in the branches if you do those.  Also, if you did small river rocks (pea gravel) in the vases, and maybe a flat bowl on the other tables, you can use slightly bigger rocks with a small pillar candle in the center.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • I think I will change out the clear rocks for river rocks and take back the flowers and do this:

then they will definitely match the second set of branch ones =]
    Thanks!

  • That looks very pretty. Post pics of the second set of centerpieces whenever you have them done :)
