Finally booked the officiant for the wedding. Decided on a Justice of the Peace and found one that is a Baptist preacher as well. So both parties are happy He wanted a minister and I wanted JP. The converstation was the funniest I ever had!  Called to book him and the first statement out his mouth, so you already have your license? No sir lol Our wedding isn't until September. Okay is it Labor Day Weekend, I told him no Sept 15. He said well I have you down for that day just call me a week before to make to remind me and give me directions. All I could do was laugh and he was laughing with me. Asked me I am calling a JP really early, I told him, I am a bride on a mission to get as much as I can before I get too busy at work so time is not on my side right now lol

Oh no not this again! 

Guess I will just report it. Long story short the officiant finally was booked yesterday. Had a really interesting converstation with him. He thought I already had my marriage license and was ready to go that day. I said no sir lol, it's not until Septemeber. He said I can do it as long as its not Labor Day weekend. I told him our day and he said good. Just call me the week before to give me directions to the location. All I could do is laugh. Myself and FI are happy cause we both get what we want, I get my Justice of the Peace and he still gets to have a Minister for the wedding.

Ooo that is an important one.  And one I had trouble with for a while because we want a custom ceremony and are on a tight budget.  Good job!

I so believe you on that one. I already discussed how much we should give since he also a minister of a church. Going to do two payments, one for his services and the other a donation to the church.
