Friday Weddings

 Is anyone having their wedding on a Friday if so what time are you starting and ending your wedding? I am having mines on Friday Oct 7 of this year and I am kinda worried that no one will come, since they might have to leave work early. Most of my guest are OOT..Thanks ladies!!!

Mine is a Friday and our ceremony is at 4:30. We are having a small wedding and I figured the important people would take the day off or get out early to be there. It's in one place so there is no HUGE gap or anything either. We chose Friday because we originally wanted to go on a cruise for the honeymoon, then we realized we couldn't afford it at the time. Oh well.

I thought about doing a Friday wedding, but I was afraid to do it mainly because of the fact that most of my guests are OOT and would have to take off even more time from work if they wanted to attend the wedding.  Keep us posted on how it goes!

I wish I could do a Friday, we would save so much money and be able to have a 65 person wedding instead of  the 85-100. Unfortunately, I  can't get married on a Friday noght because of religious restrictions.

I plan on getting married on a fri. It's cheaper and since we are having a US destination wedding it may help cut the cost that much more. Ours is next April in AZ. Our ceremony will probably be around 4:30 and reception will be 5-11 or so. Almost all of our guest are OOT but I just figured those who can, will, and everybody else i totally understand

Having a Friday wedding!  Ceremony starts arond 6:45 (church restrictions - needed to be at least 45 minutes after daily mass), reception running to midnight. We're doing a cocktail and appetizer kind of reception. All and all it's saving us a LOT of money. We're also hoping that the less convenient weekday will keep the ridiculous amount of people my parents *had* to invite because of *political* reasons (they invited more than me/FI and FIL/MIL put together) from being able to come. The important people can take a day off.

 Ours is 11-11-11. All will be off I am sure. Hours is at 11am and luncheon is from 1- 3. Good luck!!

 Ours is on 11-11-11!!! We are getting married at 11am. A half hour of or'duerves, then a seated luncheon from 1 to 3. This is our second. We think this is a good time frame.

I wish we could do Friday too, but we are getting married on my mother's birthday; its on Saturday, next year...

We are getting married on a Sunday, just another option to avoid the high charges on Saturday.

I'm trying to have mine in the afternoon on a Friday. I figured it'd be easier for a lot of people I know to take off a Friday as opposed to other days of the week.
