Anyone else having a problem finding the right cake topper!?

I'm wanting one that represents both of us... there are a ton of cute ones out there, but it seems like they are all for white couples, or black couples, or Hispanic couples etc..... I'm having trouble finding one for me (hispanic) and my white husband to be. We want something cute with character. Anyone find a good place to get these, or have any suggestions!?

You might have to google it but I once found a website where the bride and groom parts were interchangeable to allow for interracial couples.  I took the much easier route and just got my cake topper from crafty eddie on etsy.  It's a 3 in one of our initials and I love it.  Also there are plenty of people on etsy that make custom made toppers that can look like you and your FI

    Hi There~

I am looking too~ I saw the ones on etsy and they seem to be going for 75-140 dollars. I wish they were 10 dollars like the ones in Michaels. Please message me if you find a deal..I am think close to making my own and I don't think we will look good in legos.

    :)

My 3 in 1 was $24 for the topper and shipping.  I just have to do the DIY and decorate it.

The only one I could find is on weddingmountain.com. They range from $30 to $80. They do have one where you can personalize it (Hispanic bride, Caucasian groom) but that's $78. We just decided on using the letters of our last name but the traditional wedding topper that represents the both of you would be nice too.

We just have a basic one. I didn't go too crazy about it being perfect to our nationalities and he likes it too. PIB

Yeah I had a hard time finding one too, but there's a ton of sellers on Etsy that can customized them for you. They are very cute, but didn't go with it because it seemed pricey to me just for a cake topper(i.e.$80). So we ended up getting a monogram cake topper from the TK shop, it turned out really cute! Can't wait to see it on the cake. Here's the link:

We ended up getting a monogram inital for our topper...we did finally find a mix-and-match topper set with the right ethnicities (I'm white, FI is Indian), but we couldn't find one where the bride wasn't a head shorter than the groom...I'm the taller one, so....big fancy silver 'L' it is.

FI's one job in the whole wedding process is to make the cake toppers.  I showed him some of the custom made ones on etsy and since he's an artist and drummer... he said he could do it, using drum sticks.

But I've been joking with everyone that if they see two white people on top of the cake, its because he didn't get around to doing it.  :)

The challenge is that the vendor is in Austrailia.  She's on etsy, but has not been around in a while -- since the floods -- so I'm going to wait another couple of weeks and try again.

    They're so cute!!

Weddingstar has interchangeable bride/groom toppers that are reasonably priced ... about $15 each on Amazon.

  • edited December 2011
Yeah, I think the wedding star ones are ugly, just not the quality I'm looking for.... and I don't really mind spending a lot on them, cause we have plans for them after the wedding... they are getting displayed in our house....

I really like the idea of birds, but I really had my heart set on a cute couple

We had bought these sort of last minute. I figured we would go with flowers or something simple as the topper, but these were too cute:
