Wedding Invitations & Paper

What goes in the invite?

OK so I am making my own pocketfolds (and I have to say they are turning out awesome) and now I am at the point I need to create the stuffings to go into the pocketfold but I am lost as ti of what I should put in there,

1.) RSVP card and envelope
2.) Directions card
3.) ?

We are not blocking any rooms at any local hotels either, so I don't feel we need an accomidations card. Umm, shoudl we do a type of FYI card that talks about traffic as well as parking. Our wedding happens to be right in the middle of the biggest state fair and just a few blocks away from the fairgrounds. We will have parking available at no charge and traffic will be INSANE and I almost want to remind ppl to think of traffic.

TIA

Re: What goes in the invite?

  • Could you combine that information on the directions card or do you feel that it needs a separate card?  I would include that information somewhere as it sounds like people will need to know that in order to park and arrive on time.
  • I agree with an information card like ltb said with hotel info, etc.  Other than that, maybe a reception card that gives the info about where it's at (unless it and the ceremony are at the same location)  Otherwise, I think you're set and you don't want to get too many cards going because then it gets a bit busy.
  • I made mine too and it had:

    Invitation
Map to venue for ceremony/reception (same place)
Map to hotel we blocked & info
    RSVP Card / Envelope

I think you should do an info card, could help answer some questions your guests may have

    Happy invite making! :D
  • You can do an info card, a "Transportation and Parking" card, "Area Attractions", whatever.
