What is the latest I should send my invites out by??

I am getting married on July 14,2012. I have my invitations all printed and ready to go but I wanted to add one of our engagement pics in each invite and they arent going to be ready until the beginning of next week. The thing I am worried about it every website I've read has told me that they should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before. BUT, is it 6-8 weeks BEFORE the RSVP date or 6-8 weeks FROM the wedding? Because if its 6-8 weeks from the wedding, I will add pics. The RSVP deadline I put for my invites is June 14th, 2012. My invites took longer to print so thats why I feel like I am scrambling now. Any insight would help. Thanks

6-8 weeks before the WEDDING date.  So, your mailing date should be between May 14th and May 30th.  I agree that your RSVP date is a tad early, but that still gives people 2-4 weeks to reply, depending on when you drop them in the mail.
