Wedding Invitations & Paper

Reception Card Wording

Just wondering which is correct or whether it's a matter of preference:

Please join us for
Cocktails Dinner and Dancing

OR

Please join us
Cocktails, Dinner and Dancing

Also, should dates such as Thirtieth be capitalized or just use lower case?
Anniversary

Re: Reception Card Wording

  • Please join us for
    cocktails, dinner, and dancing

And dates should be lower-case, they aren't proper nouns.

  • Ditto.  But the reception card should be written in the 3rd person - just like the invitation.

    Good catch.

OP - Our reception cards were similar. They said:
    The celebration continues
    with cocktails, dinner, and dancing
    at seven o'clock

  • Definately put the comma after cocktails!
