rsvp cards in envelope or not?

Silly question but I just ogt my invites in and I was wondering do you put the RSVP cards in their own envelope when you mail the finished invitation or do you just put the envelope and the RSVP in the big envelope?

You place the RSVP under it's envelope's flap, but not inside the envelope.
