Save The Date Question??

I am unsure how to address the envelope....My aunt lives with her long term boyfriend and her adult son.  I was planning on sending her son (my cousin) a separate invitation but i thought it would be a waste to send two STD to the same household.  The problem is i'm having a hard time figuring out how to address the envelope to include all 3 people, or is it proper etiquette to send a separate STD to my cousin separately?
Thanks for you help!

Re: Save The Date Question??

  • I believe it is proper etiquette to send the adult son his own. Your aunt and her boyfriend would be listed on separate lines. However, I personally feel that a STD is by nature more casual and it would be fine to send one to all three. For the invite, send a separate one to the son.
  • It is not only proper etiquette to send a separate STD and invitation to the adult son, it is just the decent thing to do.  I have a sister who, for a short time, lived with my parents.  She used to be highly insulted when people included her on my parents' invitation.  She said it made her feel like a six year old child.

For your aunt and her partner, list her name on the first line and his name on the second line.  Do not link their names with "and".
