I think it is very elegant to have the menu wrapped in the napkin... I want to make one but wanted to know the size (width and height) that I should make it so that is fits comfortably

I am making mine 3x8. Some people do 4x9.25 or 4.5x11.
They will all fit in a napkin but check with your venue, napkin rental place, coordinator, etc  on how they fold.

This is what we did with ours. The menu was 11 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. I picked up the napkins from the vendor a day or two before the wedding, folded them with one of my BM, then put the band on it myself (which I DIY'd). They were delivered to the banquet venue the day of our rehearsal and the DOC put them at each place setting.


I had practiced with the paper and some fabric before making the bands to get the right width.
