looking for some help on the topic of stamps. I am in Canada, and have a lot of invitations going to American relatives on fiance's side. I want to put the return postage on the envelope for them, and have realized I'm not sure that USPS operates the same as Canada Post, and not finding my answers anywhere online because I'm sure it's something so simple to everyone, it doesn't need to be online. But in Canada, well, we just don't know how USPS operates.
#1 - is typical letter mail flat rate in the states? so like, if you were sending something from tx to ny... or from tx to canada versus ny to canada.. it'd be the same price from state to state into canada, right? doesnt vary by postal code/zip code?
#2 - next question is does US have international stamps or just $ value? so i looked it up and it says it's $1.10 to go into canada.. i'm wondering if i need a special stamp (for example. here in canada we have an all of canada stamp, a special US stamp, and then anything outside us/canada is international). i cannot find anything on the website that is a CANADA stamp or a $1.10 so i'm thinking i probably need to combine stamps? frig it's driving me mental. and of COURSE every time ive gone to the states to try to buy stamps, it is a sunday and they're closed. SO ANNOYING!!!! hahaha i probabaly sound so stupid but i am prayyyying maybe you can shed some light on the most seemingly simple thing ever. stamps. crazy. THANK YOU!
