I'm in charge of a baby shower for FSIL. I'm trying ti find some really cute inspiration for themes- but I only found like 2 'baby shower' blogs. KR, Angela, anyone- know of any?

I don't know of any, sorry!  Does she have a nursery theme?  You could do something based off that.

I was also at a baby shower last year where they everybody bring a book and sign it instead of a card.  I thought that was cute!  There was a poem about it that was put on the invite, maybe I can find it online somewhere...

Oh!  I love the book idea!  I'm not sure what the nursery is going to be like- but that's also a good thought. However, I doubt she's putting as much thought into it as you are- you're nursery pic ideas a few weeks ago were so cute! Oh- and they decided on a name. His name will be Ellis Timothy... (I plead the fifth with my thoughts on that one)

She is having a boy, right?Heather over at Heather Drive threw a really cute bug themed shower.  It is the 2nd post down on this page:http://heatherdrive.blogspot.com/search/label/baby%20shower  We threw a shower for a guy I worked with and decorated with a clothes line and hanging up little onsies, etc.  It was really cute and easy.  Not really a theme though. Are they into books?  My cousin had a Peter Rabbit themed shower (same as her nursery) and everyone brought books for the baby's library.  It was super cute and fun.  I used to have another blog bookmarked on my home computer, but I lost it when my computer crashed.  :(  But it was mostly girly things.  I think I originally I found it on the Craft board on TN...there is also a Baby Shower board on TB.

Ellis ? hmmm I don't know of any blogs, but I went to a shower back this summer and they didn't want to annouce the name of the baby. so they called the child "Bean" so it was a play on the nic-name. Like JAck in the Bean stalk, and other cute bean things. They also did a book thing. Very cute

That's why you don't tell anyone the name until after the baby is here.  :)  It is a lot harder to say you don't like the name when there is a newborn attached to it!

Thats a very good point KR!  I guess Ellis is her grandfather's name. So that's really cute. I love the bug idea! I think I may do that!  Thank-you!! I also love the book idea, but I guess that might be bad since they have to fly back to Texas with all thier gifts...

Sorry I didn't think to post this earlier but my coworker has been planning my baby shower for years! She wants to do a theme of "Somethings Brewing..." and make it a tea party.  And in the cards, send little bags of tea.  She's got bunches of ideas if you're interested! I think it's really cute idea for a baby shower.
