Wedding Recap (long) (PIP)

Ok, enough procrastinating! Vendor reviews also coming soon...The wedding was fantastic! The whole thing was fantastic! We had a fabulous rehearsal dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse, where the food was huge and the bill was tiny. Everything was great that night and delicious. E's groom's cake was a hit! It was made by Laura at Here's a pic:   [img][/img]   I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel and got ready there the next morning. They were so kind and wonderful! We got our hair done at the hotel in the morning. I used Heather from Pretty Salon and she was wonderful! I loved my hair and it stayed put the entire night. The bridesmaids up-dos looked fantastic and also stayed put the whole night. [img][/img]  My DOC was a life saver. I did not have to worry about a single thing at all that day. Everything ran smoothly. The photographers (2 of them) arrived around noon and did all sorts of fun shots with my dress and accessories while the BMs and I drank mimosas. Then, it was time to get dressed. It all flew by![img][/img]  We did a photoshoot in the gorgeous staircase at the Renaissance. I only tripped once in my dress (I kept stepping on my slip). The ceremony was beautiful. My brother was late, so we started without him. He was not happy. My readers were completely unprepared even though they went to the rehearsal. I almost placed E's ring on the wrong hand. Other than that, it was great! I cried when walking down the aisle because my daddy got emotional. Then I saw my favorite wedding crashers (Molly, Stace, Dori & Traci) and they made me cry again![img][/img]  The flowers were a hit! We got black magic roses in bulk for the bouquets and my MOH & I put them together Thursday night. It was easy but time consuming, and the results looked great! We got white hydrangeas for the centerpieces. They were super easy to work with. [img][/img]We did a few photos in the park & at the Aviary before heading to the reception. The photographers were very professional. The Rose Garden at the Aviary looked fantastic. The kids loved playing and running the grass and the weather was perfect for a tent wedding. [img][/img]  The food, from Opening Night, was delicious. And, they were so nice and attentive to us the whole evening. The DJ was great! People were dancing most of the night (when they weren't browsing through the exhibits at the Aviary). The candy buffet/favors/escort cards were a huge hit. Everyone said how much they loved them. We had the right amount of containers and candy so that it looked decadent. The cake was very pretty and all the sweets were a huge hit! That's pretty much it! There was a lot of happiness and emotions and a lot of love, which just made the night perfect. There's a bunch of pics on Facebook. And, hopefully, pro pics coming soon!
