Invitation RSVPs

My fiance and I have a webpage on here and we want to use the RSVP section as a replacement for reply cards with our invites.  Has anyone done this before?  How can I do this without including a long web address on the bottom of the invtation?  Thanks for help!

Re: Invitation RSVPs

  • If you do use a webpage for your RSVP's, the knots site or not, You can go to Tinyurl.com and get a smaller url to print on your cards. I did this for my website on my STD.
  • We're using the RSVP tool on WeddingWire.com, we haven't had any issues.  We're also including my cell number on the insert in case people have problems with the website.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • If you do this, I'd recommend not using the one here on the knot.  A lot of people have had issues with it.  Email would be simplier.

A couple of things about it: 1) you need to offer an alternative (phone or paper) for people that aren't computer literate or just aren't comfortable with it.  2) You should know that it conveys a more casual reception, so many guests will (wrongly) assume that they do not need to RSVP and you'll have more to chase down.  It will also send a message about the style of your reception.  If you're trying to do something formal, it will be confusing.
