save the dates - when to send them

Hi everyone, my wedding is Oct 30th 2010. Just wondering if its to early to send my save the dates? Its about 7 months away. I have them all done and ready, I just dont want to send them if people are just going to forget about them. What do you think?

I think now is perfectly fine.  I'm getting married 10-2-10 and I set mine out in December.  That was way early, but I designed them as a full years calendar so they needed to be sent out before the new year.  I sent them with my Christmas cards.

But now seems like a pretty good time to send yours!
