Hey, I know you said your DH is still looking for a job, but if he gets a job, there is the whole student loan issue. I do promoting/sampling for different companies (used to do this back in Pittsburgh too) and we get paid as an independent contractor. The work is so infrequent that your loans don't kick into repayment. It is some extra money and I met a lot of people that way.Anyway, they're always looking for male staff and there's a video game event in DC that pays $18/hr that they're recruiting for. Do you want me to forward it to you? I don't know if your DH even likes video games, but I just thought of you when I saw it needed male and female talent.

Sure Kwynn, that would be much appreciated. Thanks so much for thinking of us! He is into video games.... Turns out, he will start paying back on the loans anyway. I don't know a whole lot, but I think they suggested he start paying it (at least that's what he said...DH is very vague at times on these types of things). My email is LaChicaDeAyer22 at yahoo dot com if you don't already have it.

Thanks, got it. I didn't realize it was this weekend though- DH's parents are coming to visit for the first time, so forget that now. :-(  I will have to search for other opportunities though. Do you just google to find these promo jobs, or are there any specific websites? Thanks again!

Oh, I didn't realize it was this weekend already. September is flying by!I found my first promo job on Craigslist a few years ago. Then I asked the girls working there where else they did it for and then I went about signing up for the different companies from there. Here are some companies for your DH to check out:8 Days a WeekBig Orange (this company has TONS of stuff all the time)Encore Nationwide (great company to start with as you self-assign jobs online)HTH!

Thank you SO much! I never thought about him doing promos, but it could turn out to be an excellent source of extra $ right now, esp. if he ends up going back to school (which we are considering).
