Wedding Invitations & Paper

Sending Invites

I feel like everywhere I've read and referenced says that 6-8wks prior to the wedding is the appropriate time to send out actual invites....but I was looking at my Knot checklist earlier and it says 3 months (~12weeks) prior.  What gives?

Re: Sending Invites

  • Maybe it has to do with how long it takes to address them.  Otherwise, who knows?!

Truer words never spoken -- but I digress.  I understand the rule of thumb is to mail invitations 6 to 8 weeks prior to the wedding date.  My plan is to target completing addressing them 8 weeks in advance and mail 6 weeks in advance.

    Good luck!
