When to send out invites?

How early is it appropriate to send out invites?  We did not do STD's...the hotel is only holding rooms until 4 weeks before the wedding, rsvp's are due 3 weeks before the wedding...Is 8 weeks long enough?  Or should I go 10-11 weeks before the wedding since we did not do STD's?  Just not sure what is too early.

I'd make sure that any people coming from OOT know that they have to books rooms before the RSVPs are due back.  Either direct them to your wedding website or include hotel information with the booking deadline with the invites.
