When did you order?

 I know the timeline on when to send out save-the-dates and invitations, but when did you order them? My wedding isn't for quite awhile, but I am getting anxious!

Wherever you are ordering from, they should be able to help you with this based off your date.  We didn't do save the dates, but started the process of ordering invitations about six months out.  By the time they were designed and printed, it was about three months before the wedding, which gave me just enough time to get them addressed and mail them about eight weeks out (six to eight weeks is what they usually recommend here on TK).

Our wedding is 5/17/13.  We  ordered our STDs 6/1/12.  Photographer said will take 3 weeks for them to come back.  This time frame includes proofing whicj I should receive next week,  We plan on sending then out early August.

For our July of 2011 wedding, we sent our STDs at the beginning of 2011 right after the holidays. We ordered those from VP and they came within three weeks of ordering them.

Our invitations were ordered from a local printer. We ordered in April, they came in within two weeks, then my mom's friend offered to do calligraphy so we dropped them off to her and got them back in May. They were sent out beginning of June (wedding was July 23).
