Invitation color

Im probably over thinking this, but I'm wondering if everyone makes their save the dates/ invitations their wedding colors? We are having a beach wedding so there won't be a lot of decor, but my bouquet will be white and purple. My favorite invitations are turqoise and coral. Will my guests notice?

    It's not necessary to match your invites to your wedding decor. I might think, when I get an invitation, that those are the wedding colors but I would likely forget by the time I got to the wedding, and I would not find it strange it all for the invites not to match the wedding colors. As long as your invites match the formality of the wedding, you're good.

    I hadn't even decided on wedding colors when I sent out the STDs.  And I ordered my invitations early and still hadn't decided on wedding colors.  Though the invitation is formal and rather neutral and we choose an envelope liner that was neutral.  I still don't think it mattters though.
