Wedding Invitations & Paper

Invite help!!

I am WAY behind on getting my invites. I am going to have someone on etsy make a pdf file of my invitation, RSVP card and direction/accommodation card. I need advice on where to print. I have looked at vistaprint and 123print.com. Do I need to worry about the quality of the paper? I saw that 123print.com has two linen choices, but I have no idea what the difference is. (YES I am clueless when it comes to paper and invites). Anyone else use a PDF for their invites? Any printing advice? I have about a three months until our reception (we are doing a destination wedding then reception a few weeks after our honeymoon) so I am starting to feel the time crunch! Thanks for your help!

Re: Invite help!!

  • Check with your local officemax, too, just in case.  Or staples.  The linen "cardstock" that vistaprint uses for their notecards is linen textured, and nice enough.  I ordered some thank you notes that I designed to match our STDs & Invites from them.  The color is a bit off, though, which wasn't an issue on the postcards/magnets.

  • I would definitely go with a local place before trying to order off a website, you really need to have these out soon!
