Table number help please!!

Hey Ladies!!  I have a table number question:  Should I have a table number at the head table?  I am making the table numbers myself, and didn't know if I should make a "Table 1" for the head table, or not.  Should "table 1" be for my family instead and then have the wedding party's escort cards just say "Head Table?"  I am lost!  Any help would be much appreciated!!

It's up to you.... I'm not having a table # for the head table. Table #1 starts with my family's table. But I don't think it matters much either way.

Our table #1 was the family table, I did not have a centerpiece or table #s at our head table.

Instead of a table number you could have Mr. & Mrs.

Does your caterer require table numbers? Double-check about that. Beyond a caterer's requirement, no, you don't need a table number at the head table.

I don't think you need a table number for the head table, I'm sure your WP will realize that is where they are sitting.

Because we have such a large wedding, we're organizing the table numbers sequentially across the room rather than having the numbers correspond to the importance of the guests - so our family's will not necessarily be at lower numbered tables.

For that same reason, we're having Head Table, rather than Table 1.
