Affordable letterpress invitations?

edited October 2013 in Wedding Invitations & Paper
Okay I found these letterpress invitations that I absolutely love on here. I know they get really pricey but does anyone know of some nice ones that are affordable? I'm looking for some like these:

My other options are pocketfolds or boxed invitations.

Thanks in advanced!!!

  • What do you consider cheap?

  • Letterpress isn't cheap. They price it high because each invitation is hand pressed. Prices are similar to engraving. Unlike engraving, there's not really a cheaper version (thermography has the look and feel of engraving but is a cheaper process; most people can't tell the difference, but a lot can).

Check a local shop that offers letterpress and see if they're running deals.

  • I have thermography invitations from MyGatsby.com. I don't know if I'd consider them cheap, though.

FYI, mygatsby does have letterpress, just in fewer design options.

  • I didn't use them, but I came across this site that usually has a special running-- 100 invites for less than $500. http://invitationsbyajalon.com/specials.html

I can't say anything about the quality, but it was among the best pricing I found when I wanted letterpress. Also check Etsy.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Letterpress Invitations for cheap? : I hope you didn't think I meant thermography is cheap. It's cheaper than engraving is all I meant. A lot of people go w/ thermography because they want that engraved look without spending a ton more on them. It's a great alternative! However, I've not come across a good looking low-cost version of letterpress.

<div>Oh no! It's just that I don't know what the OP considers cheap. I'm not sure what engraving or letterpress costs because I wasn't interested in looking into it, but my invites are probably about $7+ each, including postage, when all is said and done.</div>
