Wedding Invitations & Paper

Help Needed for Directions Enclosure

I checked with our coordinator and she recommended a directions enclosure with the invites since many of our guests are traveling in from out of town for the wedding.

What goes on this card?  The ceremony and reception are at different locations.  Do we just include directions from the major highway in the area?  We can't possibly fit directions to both venues from the North, South, East and West!

Do we add tiny maps?  Does that really do any good? LOL

Help!  Thanks :)

Re: Help Needed for Directions Enclosure

  • I will post a pic of mine as our ceremony and reception were at 2 different places.

If you click on the picture, it will make it larger.  The wedding bands marked the location of the ceremony and the plate with fork marked the reception location.  It took my mom hours upon hours to make this damn map!  It was a real PITA, but she is a perfectionist too ;)

  • Wow!  That is a really nice map!  Thanks!

I put directions from the hotel we blocked and from the major intersate to the ceremony in the invitation.  Then I put directions to the reception on the back of our programs.

We put a link to google maps and directions from/to both places on our website.

Also, make sure you put clear addresses that work with GPS for both places on the directions card.  There's nothing worse than trying to GSP something but you don't know that it's South Main Street, and it sends you up the block.
