Thank you styles

My mother is under the impression that I have to send different style of thank you notes for my shower and wedding. Ie, if I buy purple flower thank you cards for my shower, I should buy different styled cards for my wedding thank yous. 

Is she right? I bought a package of thank yous I was going to use for both but if she's right I can just buy another.

They can all be the same, as long as you don't use your married name or monogram on thank yous that are sent before the wedding.
