Response Cards- Stamp Etiquette

Hello,

I'm ready to send out my invitations but I don't know the etiquette regarding putting a stamp on the response envelopes- do I need to do this?  Is it tacky if I do not?  Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Christine

  • If you don't stamp the response card envelope, then don't bother even sending them, because you won't be getting them back.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Yes, please include a stamp. Getting RSVPs returned is difficult enough for most guests--the added barrier of making them search for a stamp spells certain doom. Ok, not certain doom, but like pp said--you won't be hearing back from many, many guests if you don't include a stamp.

  • Another option- using an RSVP website. I saw an invitation where the bride included an unstamped RSVP card, but at the bottom it said "Save a stamp- RSVP online at www.________.com."

BAD, bad plan.  We get stories here all.the.time of how they don't work, people don't use them, etc.  Don't bother.  (And, I work in computer nerdy crap, so I normally do everything online!)  Really - save yourself the headache and buy stamps.
