RSVP/Menu Selections

For those of you who are doing a menu selection with your rsvp card, do you think it's ok for the selections to just simply be "chicken, fish, or vegetarian?" or should it be specific like "chicken marsala, garlic butter salmon, or penne pasta with marinara?"

Re: RSVP/Menu Selections

  • I'm going specific and even have the sides listed (we will see if they fit on the card when I get my proof back!). I agree, I would not be stoked on mushrooms if I picked chicken.

  • I'm being generic just for space issues.  Choices are seared salmon or beef tenderloin.

If you have space I think the names of your meal choices are fine.

[QUOTE]Its always best to be as specific as possible. I know a ton of people who like chicken but refuse to eat mushrooms so if you had 'chicken marsala' they'd know to pick something else.

I hate mushrooms but would still get the chicken selection and just push the mushrooms to the side!

To the OP, we're just doing chicken, beef, salmon.  We didn't have alot of room to work with and it looked neater.
  • I would be as specific as you can based on the space you have. If you dont have a lot of space then it would be nice to post them on your wedding website so picky people can make their choice easier (I know I would be disappointed if I got the chicken on it came with mushrooms, and that I could have had pasta but didnt know because it was labeled vegetarian)
