HELP: Do i need a "dress code" on my invite?

I thought we had mine done finally (we changed the word celebration to reception, fyi) but my aunt suggested that I add a "dress code" (ie dressy casual) so people don't show up wearing jeans etc..

I mean, it's a reception at a golf course at 6pm.

Do you think it is really necessary?

And, if it is, how should I go about doing it? Like would I say "a dressy casual reception?" or what?
