Vistaprint: turn RSVP card into postcard?

Hi,

I just recently ordered my invitations, but did not order the RSVP cards because I really wanted it in postcard form, but the design did not come in postcard option.

Have any other brides just ordered the matching RSVP card and turned it into a postcard somehow?

TIA for any suggestions you may have!

Re: Vistaprint: turn RSVP card into postcard?

  • This happened to me and I contacted them and asked if the card could be turned into a postcard. They did it for me and it was great!
  • I was looking into doing this as well. I work at a local mailing and shipping place, so one thing I suggest is make sure there aren't any graphics along the bottom of the front (where your address would go) because it could interfere with the barcode. Postcard RSVP's will definitely save you postage!

  • I just did my invites with Vistaprint and this is exactly what we did! We had them pre-print our address on the (otherwise blank) reverse side, so that we wouldn't have to write it or put mailing labels on. It worked great, and we got our first RSVP back a few days ago so I can confirm that it worked in the mail, too! The RSVP cards are actually exactly the same size as their postcards anyway - I think VP only has a couple of different standard sizes.

  • Thank you so much, this feedback was so helpful!
  • Our STDs are from Vistaprint and we couldn't get the pattern we wanted in official postcard size. We ended up ordering 'flat cards' and they worked just the same!
  • Yep, we're doing this!

  • We did this too, and they came in the mail yesterday.  I went with the normal paper stock that was included with the price, no upgrade, and I'm afraid they are a little flimsy.  Has anyone else used the "normal" paper stock, and id they work or not work in the mail?  I think they might get a little munched, but hope not.
  • @rojacobs: I used the normal paper stock and they've come back in good shape so far.

  • Nice, that's great to hear!  I feel a lot better now, I was considering re-ordering, the PP who contacted VP to turn them into postcards was a lot smarter than I was :)
