Wedding Invitations & Paper

Save the Dates and Invitations

HELP!!!  Where can I find invitations and Save the Dates for around $1000.  All the DIY and online places are more expensive than a woman who personalizes in wedding invitations.  The only problem...she can't match my colors exactly.  I've been to wedding paper divas and invitations for less.  Any help would be much appreciated!!!!

I need 300.  our colors are british tan and fuschia.
  • Paper Source is the first place that comes to mind.  Is there one near you?  Also, check out Papyrus at your local mall.  You might be surprised at what you can find.  Good luck!
  • Whoa, $1000 is a LOT of money to spend on save-the-dates and invitations.  You should have plenty of options.

First, sit down with your guest list and figure out how many you will need.  300 sounds like a lot, unless you're inviting close to 600.  Remember that couples will get one invitation, as will multi-member families.  We're inviting 120 and only needed about 55 actual invitations.   We deigned our save-the-date magnets on Magnet Street and our invitations on Vistaprint for about $200 for EVERYTHING.

Have you looked on Etsy?   A lot of women on here have posted about finding artists who can custom-make invitations for a reasonable price.   Some will even cut you a deal by sending them to you un-assembled instead of assembling them for you.   Could be worth checking out.

[QUOTE]Have you checked Vistaprint.com and 123 Print.com?  Many of their designs come in a choice of colors.  Right now you can order 10 invitations for free.

Is there a coupon code for the 10 free invites?

  • If you have time and a college nearby, see if there are any graphic design students looking for a side job. The design can then be personalized to suit your needs and you don't have to spend so much. In addition, colleges with design programs typically having AMAZING printers that can match any color.

I say this because my fiance is a graphic designer and he's designed all of our stationary. We were able to upload the design to Vistaprint and get 100 Save the Dates for $27. We are in the process of getting our invitations and RSVP cards printed, which will total around $180 with amazing colors and completely personalized.

So, if you have the time and want to save a buck, it would be a unique option for you.

  • MonogramWedding.com, super affordable, fully customizable. Lots of designs. I hardly seem them mentioned but they were great. They always have coupon codes too, plus free shipping. I used the code BRIDE but there might be others too. Good Luck!
