Handwriting vs. typing addresses

Hey ladies!

I am preparing to mail my Save the Dates out and am torn between handwriting the address and laser printing them onto the envelopes. I have very nice handwriting (in college people would say it looked like I had typed my class notes!) and was thinking of buying a nice calligraphy pen/marker to write them all out. Just trying to get some input!

Please don't type addresses for anything associated with your wedding.  I know that a lot of people do, and personally I have terrible handwriting so I get the impulse, but it just looks wrong.

My FI received a STD a month or so ago with a printed label, and it was the first thing I noticed when I turned it over to see their wedding website.  

Since you have nice handwriting, I wouldn't even consider typing.  For others who don't have nice handwriting, finding a way to get STDs and invitations handwritten in an attractive, legible way is just one of the tasks/expenses associated with weddings, in my mind.

I do recommend practicing with a calligraphy pen if you go that route - calligraphy books tell you to form letters in certain ways because the nibs on those pens can make normal letter formation look really funky.

Thanks for the input. I was definitely leaning more towards handwriting just because I think it would give them a more personal feel.

I hand wrote my address for my STDs... I also sent them in a Christmas Card since it was around that time.  It seemed more personal.

Mine are going to be handwritten but I'm having my mom and futre MIL help me since they have better hand writing.  Never hesitate to ask for help!

I definitely want to do handwritten invitations and save the dates.  I however have awful handwriting and my mother's handwriting is beautiful so she will be addressing everything for me.  She will also be writing the names on the placecards for me too!
