postal question

Our invites have a ribbon that goes around the outside of the enelope, is it okay for them to go through the mail like this?

Re: postal question

  • The ribbon will probably get ripped up or ruined if allowed through. I personally doubt the USPS will okay them because they won't want ribbon potentially snagging on their machinery. Is the ribbon supposed to go around the outside? I've really never heard of or seen that, only ribbon around the invite or inner envelope. Personally, I'd rethink the ribbon on the outside if only because it wont look very nice when guests get them in the mail.
  • The ribbon is probably meant to go around the INNER envelope, if there is one, or the invitation itself if there's only an outer envelope.

  • i agree with the other responses, i have also seen some where they put a clear envelope outside so that the ribbon wont be damaged.
