Ok, so I've been divorced for almost 5 years. My plan was always to go back to my maiden name, but because of being enrolled in school, I never legally changed it. The university wanted to make me jump through 50 hoops to change it while I was enrolled so I decided I would change it when I graduated. (which is this summer) Well, now I'm engaged and will be taking his name next year. My immediate family knows I never changed it, but extended family doesn't. My co-workers know me by my married (legal) name. I want to put my maiden name on my invitations.....is that appropriate? I really don't want my married name on them at all. I know I still have time before invitations and shower invites will be going out....but just confused on what's proper in this case.
