DIY Pocket Invites

Good morning ladies!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I was looking at wedding invitations all weekend and trying to find a certain style that i like more than any other, I found that pocket invites are classy and keep your entire invitation all together, which is an aspect I really appreciate.

My question is, has anyone had experience making these one their own, if so, would you mind giving me a little tutorial on how to do that. And how difficult were they to construct. I am fairly creative and just want to make them on my own so I know that i am getting exactly what i want. Plus with other invites I am not really sure of how to put everything in the envelope as class-ily as pocket invites do.

Anyway, any feedback is apprecaited. Thank you ladies.

I would post this on the DIY board.  Those ladies make all sorts of things!
  • I worked at a stationery shop for a few years and made custom invites all the time - it's pretty easy, actually.

If you want to PM with all the components you're planning on putting together I can help you out :)
  • We made the pocket folders for ours using 12x12 sheets of really thick scrap book paper. ours was cool cause the paper is metallic on one side and just the plain color on the other. one tip if you go to micheals or somewhere like that for supplies wait till it goes on sale ours was 5 sheets for $1 for any scrapbook paper so we special ordered the 120 sheets at the sale price otherwise its quite pricey buying it at their regular prices.(about $.60 each)
