Wedding Invitations & Paper

save the date postcards

hey all! So I have been working on my save the dates, I am making them with colored cardstock.  I am doing them in postcard form cause I like the look of them, and it makes them a little less formal which I like.  Is sending a postcard with wedding info out a potential privacy issue? It has the date and venue and our names on it, not specific times.  But my FI just mentioned something that if they get lost in the mail our info is out in the open.  But is this really an issue? The idea of redoing them all is not very appealing right now.. but what are your opinions? thanks!

Re: save the date postcards

  • The only people sure to see them are postal workers, and I doubt that they read every postcard they see.

If it does get lost in the mail and delivered to the wrong address, do you really think those people will crash your wedding? I don't think you have anything to worry about.

People will know your return address and names if you use envelopes, so information will be visible either way. Plus, you've already made the postcards.

    Don't worry about it :)
  • haha thanks very true! seems like a kinda irrational thing to get freaked out about... thanks for settling me down :) i cant stop worrying about every detail!

  • I just got done addressing my save the date post cards! The fact that our full names and wedding website is on the post card doesn't bother me. My FI and I have included some personal details but nothing that couldn't be figured out with a google search. I doubt any of the postal workers will decide to crash my reception...but if they do, I hope they bring a nice gift!
