RSVP's on the knot

I know that you all are going to say don't use it, but I am, invites are out, no going back now. I've got backup methods should something go wrong.

That being said... does anybody know if there is a way to disable the mandatory email field on the RSVP screen?
For example, children are invited, yet, don't have email. Or for those bringing a guest, I don't want them to feel obligated to put their guests email address.

Any help out there?

Re: RSVP's on the knot

  • Hi aalstrup, I am glad someone else is doing this. We are giving people the option of replying using the knot or by phoning.
I have been getting the same responses of don't do it. We sent out our save the dates using email. Two years ago we sent out all the invites to my parents 50th Anniversary party and everyone but 5 people (0ver 70 attended) replied using email. I think most people are computer savy.
How did you fill in the template for the guests you didn't know the name of? ie Tom Smith's date? Are you doing meal choices?
Let me know how things go! Best of luck!
  • I think people say "don't use it" not even really ouf of etiquette about it, but more out of the history of it losing complete RSVP lists on people and them being completely out of luck then. Rumor has it, the RSVP system here is completely unreliable
