cocktail hour vs dinner reception card wording?

Hi :) We are having a cocktail hour before dinner. Cocktail hour starts at 5 and dinner will start around 6:30. Should this be called out on the reception card or is my current wording okay?

Please join us for dinner and dancing
at 5pm at Anytown Country Club
1234 Street Road
City, State 12345

TIA :)

[QUOTE]Your wording is fine. Its pretty typical for there to be some type of cocktail hour before dinner. I would put the name of the reception venue on its own line though.

    I agree.

  • Your wording is right. No need to specify the cocktail hour or exactly what happens when.
  • Thanks for the advice!! :)
  • Mine says:

    "Cocktails served at six o'clock
    dinner immediately following......."

Yours is great, too! However you want to write it...guests will get the idea.
  • is it ok to state that the reception is only for adults on reception card?
