Wedding Invitations & Paper

Invitations for vendors?

I am, obviously, adding all of our vendors to my list of guests (for dinner/guest count).  However, I am completely clueless about whether they should also receive official invitations. Thoughts?

Re: Invitations for vendors?

  • I would say no, I'm not.  Your going to talk with them prior to the wedding so they know when there are need to be there and you don't need them to send and RSVP.  If you having a plated dinner, you can just ask them what they want at your final meeting or just give them a vendor meal or whatever is less expensive.  They also wouldn't need all the other info that is given on a invite.

  • I have to give one to our photographer, but only because he will be crossing an international border. Other than that, I would say no.

  • I was wondering the same thing. I have all mine on our spread sheet but didn't add a 1 in the cell that is for invite. I probably won't, I don't want to make like 10 extras. :)

  • I sent one to my videographer and one to my photographer.  They both want them for pictures, and they're both friends of mine.  I didn't send one to the other vendors I didn't know like the caterer, the hairdresser, etc.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Wait, do you have to invite/feed the people who aren't actually going to be working at the wedding? i.e. the florist, hairdresser, etc???
