addressing a guest who is a judge

my friend is a judge, she is married, she goes by her own name - different name than her husband.  how more complicated can you get?! ;-)

how do I address inner and outer envelope????

do I need to go over the top in terms of formality?  she is my friend/my peer, not friend of our parents - does that matter?

Re: addressing a guest who is a judge

  • The Honorable Jane Jones
    Mr. John Smith

inner envelope is Judge Jones and Mr. Smith

Yes, except add an "and" to the first one since they're married, so it's:
    The Honorable Jane Jones and
    Mr. John Smith
  • really?.... "The Honorable"  not just "Hon." ?
