Wedding Invitations & Paper

Bilingual invitations?

One of my customers brought in her wedding book a few months ago and showed me her bilingual wedding invitation...I absolutely LOVED the idea! My fiancee is Italian and I'd love to be able to send out invitations that all of his family can read (here and in Italy). Now, onto my search...I'm having a hard time finding one that I really like (very few to select from anyway). I have the idea stuck in my head of what I want, just don't know how to get it.

Does anyone know a good website that does this? Or a program that I can just make it myself? Any suggestions would be helpful, thank you!

Re: Bilingual invitations?

  • We're going with Paper Orchid for just this reason. They aren't too expensive, and I figured out that we can order one number in Spanish and one number in English and it doesn't make it more expensive. I'm pretty happy about that!

You can completely customize the text, so it would be easy to do a bilingual invite.
  • Thank you so much!
  • I should mention that I'm wanting to do both languages on ONE invitation, rather than sending out two different kinds.

Everyone I know that had this problem did two separate invitiations, one in English and one in the other language.  They also set up an email address to receive the overseas RSVPs, which I realize isn't part of your question, but may be something you haven't thought of.

If you know what you want in your mind, could you sketch it out on a piece of paper?  Then you could take it to any printer and they'll figure out how to make it happen.
