Hello Ladies,

I'm planning for weddings in 2012. I have destination wedding ceremony around January 2012 and local reception in Chicago around June 2012. How far in advance would you send out save the date card? Would you send both cards at once? or Would you send them separate? Thank you!

    If everyone is being invited to the DW, I would send the STD 8 months in advance so that people have time to make travel arrangements.  On the STD I would say something like "A local reception will be held in June 2012 in Chicago".

    Will you be hosting the reception?
