Hand Deliver Invites?

Is it werid to hand deliver invites to our local guests and family members? Do people expect to recieve their invite in the mail? I have put postage on the RSVP cards because I don't want to stand there and be like..."sooo....fill out your RSVP right now and give it back!" So those will be mailed back to us once the invitees decide if they are coming and what they are going to eat.

Yeah, it's weird. Mail them to everyone.
  • Mail them.

  • I don't think it's weird to hand-deliver to people you see often, no.

[QUOTE]Not weird to deliver them to people you see everyday. It is actually considered more formal than mailing. I hand delivered to my work friends, but I made sure not to do it in front of people not invited.

  • Not weird at all. I hand delivered seven or eight because they were people I saw often. Just don't hand out an invitation in the presence of someone not invited and you'll be good.
  • No, I don't think it would be weird. Now, do you see these people every day or are you planning to drive them over?
If you see them everyday no biggie. But I wouldn't drive them over there to save on postage because in reality, you'd spend more on gas to do that.
What we're doing is mailing all the ones we know we won't see within that week, and then hand deliver the ones that are convenient, so we can move on to something else.
