Morning after brunch - info in invite or separate?

I'd like to have a morning after brunch and will most likely open it up to anyone who wants to come.  Could this info go on an insert (I'm doing pocketfolds, so space isn't an issue) or should it be mailed separately?

Re: Morning after brunch - info in invite or separate?

  • If everyone is invited, it's fine to put it in the pocketfold if you want, although a separate mailing would not be improper.  We're having a welcome dinner to which everyone is invited, and I put that in the invite packet.

  • Are you paying for brunch for everyone?  "open it up" seems to say they can come, but they pay for themselves- in that case I would do the invite seperately since anything I got with a wedding invite I would assume I dont have to pay for...

  • We put information about our rehearsal dinner, which everyone is invited to in our invitation.  I think that would be fine.
  • For our wedding we included the brunch info on my insert I called "Details" for lack of a better term.  I included our website on this piece and told people to visit the site for information on hotels, etc.  Then I included two lines on our response cards to indicate whether they are coming to the wedding and to the brunch.  I think by having people RSVP to it here is very acceptable and efficient use of time and money.  Also when you have people RSVP they usually realize you're trying to get a head count and that you are providing the food and they won't be paying.  :)
