What time do I put?

If I want my wedding to start at say 6 do I put 5:30 on the invites? I know you give the guest a certain amount of time to get there and talk for a minutes amongst each other. Plus my wedding is about an hour drive for everyone too. ???

Put the actual time. People will know to arrive in time for the ceremony

If your wedding starts at 6, then you should put 6 on the invitations. Its not fair to your guests who will already show up early to get a good seat to make them wait even longer. Your guests will plan accordingly to get themselves to your wedding in time.

Yes, you put the time of the wedding. If you put 5:30 on the invitation, I would arrive at about 5:15, so then you would make me wait around 45 minutes??? Most people don't really 'socialize' at the wedding ceremony.
