4 x 6 envelopes?

First of all, I apologize if you are reading this as a double post from DIY...

I just ordered a custom photo save the date card from a seller on etsy. She just sent the 4 x 6 file and it looks great. I think I am going to get them printed at Walgreens, they have a sale going on right now. Now I am wondering, where do I get 4 x 6 envelopes? I looked on Amazon and it seems they are mostly sold as 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 which people say is too big.

Anyone have experience or advice on this? Thanks!!!!

Re: 4 x 6 envelopes?

  • www.envelopemall.com has the widest selection of envelopes that I'm aware of.  They also have decent customer support.  I think you could probably contact them and ask their opinion.  You don't have to purchase their products, necessarily, but they might have something you'd like.

  • I don't think that would be too big. I'm getting envelopes made by the invitation designers, and they're 1cm bigger - .5 in is like 1.25cm, .75 is 1.9cm. Check out the sources PPs have suggested, but I think the envelopes you've found would be fine.
  • never heard of envelopes for a postcard size....maybe the designer can rework the design for a standard envelope.
  • If you were to have them printed through Vistaprint (which is SUPER cheap - usually free, just pay shipping), you can get envelopes sized correctly.  That's what I did for our STDs.  PIB.
