Wedding Invitations & Paper

Free pdf convert

My invites are DIY and I was freaking out about converting to pdf (using Word and PowerPoint only)... I remember seeing a thread about this but it wasn't very conclusive.

Well, I used freepdfconvert.com and it worked like a charm. So if you're wondering how to do this, no fear, it's super easy to use that website! That is all!

Re: Free pdf convert

  • It's really easy to convert a word or powerpoint to a PDF.  When you do save as, just change the format you're saving it in from .doc or .ppt to .pdf.
  • My networks are wacko, especially at work, with all of the editions of programs causing problems. I wish it were that easy! This site was recommended by the IT guy at my school.

  • Navy, if you don't have conversion software that won't work.  Word can't write a file into PDF format directly.  At least, not on a non-Mac (that's what you use, right?)

I use a Mac at home, but I can also do it on my PC at work.  I've never had a problem saving a word file directly into a PDF.  Weird.

Navy, do you have Adobe Acrobat on that computer?  It adds drivers that allow you to do stuff like that.  Regular old word can't.

ETA:  real Acrobat, not just Acrobat Reader.

No, I just have acrobat reader.  It might be something with the brand new word (2008/2009).  I'm not sure though.
  • It depends on the version of Word or Publisher you are using. I have 2002 on my desktop & 2007 on my laptop. 2007 will let you convert, 2002 will not.
